Ditch the 7-Day Week and Still Crush Your Goals

Are you struggling with using the traditional 7-day week when it comes to squeezing in your workouts?

Maybe you aim to train 3-5 days weekly, but occasionally life gets hectic and you can't hit that mark every time, leading to feelings of guilt?

What if we told you that it's possible to follow a workout program without the need to structure it around a traditional 7-day week?

If it feels near impossible to be able to fit a workout program into your life, read more for our top tips for optimizing our app, TrainHeroic, to fit YOUR schedule:

Time is Flexible

We get it. You’ve been told you need to work out 3-5 times per week for optimal health and optimal gains.

You know you need at least 2 rest days.

2 + 5 = 7.

But what if... you’re a busy parent? Or maybe you work the night shift. Maybe you don’t have a typical 9-5 and your work schedule is not the norm.

What if life just gets slammed and all of a sudden you’re struggling to make it to your 3, 4, or 5 days of training per week and you start feeling behind?

But then what if we told you to... abandon the idea of a calendar week?

Get Rid of the "All or Nothing" Mindset

If you don’t get to a certain amount of workouts per week, you might feel like you “failed” and that the week was a wash.

But maybe instead just try doing the workouts in order.

Life got busy. The kids got sick. You needed an extra day to recover. There are a million reasons things might delay a workout.

But instead of missing it, get to it when you can.

In Train Heroic - follow the green dots.

When the app asks if you want to “move the workout to today?” say “No” and your workouts will stay in order.

Consistency Over Perfection

Long-term success hinges more on consistent effort than flawless execution. Our programs cater to various schedules and environments to support your journey.

Choose your workouts based on what you can do, reasonably, realistically, over and over again. But don’t expect yourself to do it perfectly every time.

Even better - choose the program and workout schedudle you WANT to do, and instead of being confined by the 7-day calendar, get the workouts done in a way that better melds with your life.

Do you know what’s even better than focusing on “consistency?” Focusing on frequency. Consistency is subjective. Frequency makes it tangible.

What if you looked at it like trying to finish 20 workouts in a month, instead of 5 workouts in 7 days? Does that make it feel more feasible?

Freedom from Pressure

The pressure to perform flawlessly every week can be overwhelming. Remember, your training routine is adaptable. Instead of fixating on fitting in 3, 4, or 5 sessions weekly, consider a broader timeframe.

Zoom out and plan around your other commitments. Which program aligns best with your overall balance? Focus on completing workouts within a cycle rather than a week.

By embracing flexibility and focusing on achievable goals, you can align your fitness journey with your life's demands more harmoniously.
